Your Mission

We are looking for an experienced business development professional with excellent relationship building skills and a capacity to drive sales negotiations to closure. Your market place is the not-for-profit sector in Brussels, Belgium and across Europe.

As our Business Development Manager you will be presenting MCI’s bespoke business solutions to potential international or pan-European professional and trade associations. As such you should show a keen interest in many different industries and professions and be able to engage with senior representatives of various sectors and backgrounds. You are familiar with the workings of associations, the role of volunteer leadership and paid staff, and understand the decision making process. In this capacity you will be able to identify the key needs of potential clients and propose the appropriate MCI solution. Your skills in developing relationships, writing winning proposals and a rigorous follow up methodology are the foundations for your success in earning new business for our company.

- Ability to research pertinent data sources
- Skilled at extracting prospect’s needs and developing right solution
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a self-motivator
- Politically savvy and diplomatic
- Proven ability to use influence and persuasion to achieve desired outcomes
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
- Experience with business budgeting processes
- Willingness to travel as required
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential, a good business level of spoken French and Flemish is desirable – ability to write these languages is an asset
