In 2006 MCI in the Middle East started its operations in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, against the backdrop of the immense growth in the region for destination management (DMC), association management (AMC) and professional congress organization (PCO) opportunities. It was MCI’s eleventh office and the second one outside Europe. Dubai was a natural choice for MCI due to it being the Business Centre of the Middle East. Another attractive feature of the city is its infrastructure, talent pool and easy to do business attitude. The year 2007 saw MCI in the Middle East extending its local reach and making its presence felt in the emirate of Abu Dhabi too vis-a-vis the opening of a new office there. We further expanded the Abu Dhabi office in 2012.
Since its inception, MCI in the Middle East has helped many of MCI’s existing customers grow in the region and increase their operational footprint by executing their MENA strategies. Moreover, MCI in the Middle East has grown from strength to strength and has successfully cultivated new relationships with some of the most prestigious names in the region. The office has operated high touch programmes and delivered strategies in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and the UAE.
Our team’s commitment to consistently raising the bar in designing and delivering exceptional meetings and events has been recognised with our receipt of Awards for Excellence. The most recent of these was the 5th Middle East Event Awards 2012 - The Best Meeting and Conference award went to MCI Middle East - for the 1st IOF Middle East & Africa Osteoporosis Meeting, Asian Women Leadership Award 2012 to Sumaira Isaacs, Managing Director Middle East, India and Canada, Outstanding Contribution to Business and Industry Ms. Tarnbir Kaur, Director-Association Management and Consulting
