MCI announces its merger with NHG A/S in Copenhagen. Already present in Scandinavia with offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg, MCI is developing its presence in the region by expanding in one of the most rapidly growing cities in Europe.
NHG has been a key player in the meetings industry in Copenhagen and Denmark for close to two decades. NHG works both with institutional and corporate clients, offering congress organization, meeting management and logistic services. In 2009 NHG signed two prestigious contracts, the first one with the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15), the follower to the Kyoto meeting, and the second with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) assembly, the host selection body for the 2016 Olympic Location.

The largest city and capital of Denmark, Copenhagen offers an outstanding meeting infrastructure, including the biggest international airport in Northern Europe (21.5 mio passengers a year). The city is currently building a new conference centre, named Tivoli Congress Centre, and will have a capacity of 4000 delegates. Over 4000 new hotel rooms will be available from 2011.
“Wonderful Copenhagen”, which markets the city as a meeting destination, manages an increased marketing budget during the next 4 years, which represents a great opportunity for MCI in attracting clients to this destination.
