MCI Re-Accredits to AMC Institute
MCI successfully re-accredits to AMC Institute and confirms highest level of standards
Brussels, Belgium – 22 November 2010. MCI, the global association, communications and event management company, announces that it has been successfully re-accredited by AMC Institute, the global trade association representing the Association management industry.
MCI’s re-accreditation confirms that MCI has consistently applied the standardised processes and procedures since its original accreditation in 2006. The quality management systems which MCI maintains to comply with the ANSI/AMC Institute standard are accessible and used throughout MCI offices worldwide, ensuring our association management professionals deliver consistent high quality in servicing members and association leadership. Compliance with the standard has been verified through an in-depth audit by a specialised external review firm.
AMC Institute accreditation is recognised and supported by ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership and is based on the ANSI Standard of Good Practices for the AMC (Association Management Company) Industry. ANSI requires that the standards are reviewed and updated every four years to guarantee compliance and quality. Among others, measurable performance practices include: contracts and service agreements; quality management processes and delivery; employee recruitment, training and professional development; and financial management and internal controls.
“Companies around the world are more and more concerned with creating competitive advantage. A clear and notable differentiator is to demonstrate adherence to industry-wide standards and best practices through accreditation. At MCI, we believe our compliance with industry standards is essential business practice not only as a means of demonstrating our competence and reliability, but also as a visible support of the key role played by associations as the worldwide standards-setting and accrediting bodies,” confirmed Nikki Walker, MCI’s Vice President of Global Association Management & Consulting.
“We congratulate MCI for achieving re-accreditation to AMC Institute Accreditation,” stated AMC Institute Board President, John Dee. “The accreditation evaluation is the most demanding and comprehensive in our industry. Clients of accredited AMCs should feel assured that this exclusive group operates with the highest level of professionalism and responsibility, and consistently meets or exceeds all industry requirements.”
Association Management Companies specialise in managing associations and not-for-profit organisations, providing leadership and professional management services through experienced staff, best practices and shared resources.
Because AMCs manage multiple association and not-for-profit clients, their experience and knowledge base are broad and substantial, positioning companies like MCI, a global Association Management & Consulting company, as the preferred choice for full-service management or specialised outsourcing expertise and solutions.
