MCI Stockholm wins CSR Award

Queen of Sweden bestows prestigous CSR award on MCI Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden – September 29th 2010. MCI Stockholm was elected “Blooming Company of the Year” by The Mayflower Charity Foundation for Children. In recognition of their continuing support and contribution to The Mayflower’s annual fundraising campaign, Bo Magnusson, CEO of MCI Scandinavia, received the award today from Her Majesty Queen of Sweden at The Royal Palace in Stockholm.

The Mayflower (www.majblomman.se) is Sweden’s largest charity fighting child poverty. Every year in April children aged between 9-12 years are given the opportunity to participate actively in fundraising by making and selling “Mayflowers”. The revenue from this activity provides funds for the charity’s activities in the coming year. MCI Stockholm helped create a platform for the children to sell their small paper flowers by allowing them to do so at their congresses during the fundraising time. “MCI wants to actively work for a sustainable development in our community. That is why our employees have chosen to support The Mayflower’s important work of children helping children”, says Bo Magnusson.
