I started my career as a Trainee in a hotel Human Resources department. After that, I joined one of the largest airline companies in 2004 as a Marketing Manager. I worked very closely with the Australian Tourism Bureau for promoting Australia as an attractive tourism and MICE destination to the Chinese market. That was my very initial experience in the MICE industry.
Now, I’ve been working for MCI since 2009, starting out as a Project Manager for the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Throughout the years, I had the chance to work closely with colleagues from all MCI offices around the world and now, I am working in the Professional Congress Organization (PCO) department.
I am passionate about our industry and feel that I still have so many things to learn. This job is perfect as it gives me a fresh perspective on the industry and allows me to use my past experience on a daily basis.
MCI is a fast growing company. When I joined MCI in early 2009, our team consisted of 20 people, but now, we have nearly 150 professional talents in the China office.
The word “GLOCAL” also reflects the company very well. This is a company characterised by its multicultural and international spirit, but also from its strong local executions.
Everyone at MCI has a dream, and we strive together, setting our ambitions high for achieving excellence. MCI also supports talents development, as the company makes significant investments for talent training programmes every year. That’s the most exciting professional environment that I can imagine!
