A US-based Healthcare Association with more than 100 years history and 40,000 members worldwide was looking to grow awareness and influence among cancer research professionals in China. With no existing competing international event in China, the association saw an opportunity to meet the local demand and interest to increase the weight of clinical research content with a Conference and KOL engagement.

Solutions

MCI China conducted a full-scale market research to help understand market needs and competitive landscape. MCI China also refined the event strategy to enhance influence and awareness; they developed a Chinese marketing and partnership strategy to build and engage the local community and high-level Chinese government officials. The first “New Horizons” Conference was launched in 2014. It was endorsed by the China National Association and Therapeutic Foundation of China and obtained government funding.
