Sales & Research Executive

Job Objective

To support the Association Sales Director with developing and managing the sales pipeline, including the achievement of financial targets and the building of relationships with potential key clients.

Main Responsibilities

Proactively research and identify contacts and opportunities within the existing UK and group client portfolio as well as the CRM database
Review, cleanse and maintain CRM database
Achieve agreed divisional financial targets, in conjunction with the Association Sales Director  
Support Association Sales Director with the management of all processes associated with the development and management of the division’s new business prospects
In liaison with the sales team, build relationships with key industry contacts and networks
Attend key industry events in liaison with the sales team.
Arrange introductory appointments with new contacts
Attend initial meetings to identify client needs when required
Create detailed briefing documents for opportunities when required
Draft pitch documents and presentations
Create detailed client mapping
Attend networking opportunities when required
Provide weekly activity reporting to Association Sales Director

Description of Relationships

Reporting to Association Sales Director
To liaise with internal staff at all levels across MCI as well as with clients, suppliers and trade and professional associations and industry bodies.

Job Requirements

Two to three years’ experience in an external-facing business development or account management role
Experience working with Associations desirable
Experience in preparing sales proposals
Demonstrated ability to work in a structured and methodical manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail

Technical Skills 

• Computer literate in Microsoft products

Additional Local Requirements

Full UK driving licence
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Eligible to work in the UK
UK & International travel required
