As our new Social Media Co-ordinator you will be responsible for developing, implementing, sustaining, and updating all group social media for MCI Group across social channels. The Social Media Co-ordinator manages all social media accounts and work collaboratively with Group and local Marcoms, Content team, Services Team to ensure first-in-class news, content, and product presentation across channels on-brand tone 24/7. 
You will be responsible to build upon and implement innovative social media strategies reflective of the MCI Group brand with the goal of growing the audience and engagement across all platforms and delivering valuable traffic to site.

We expect you to utilize data and up-to-the-minute knowledge of the social media environments to analyze and optimize MCI Group’s social presence and brand authority across channels and be able to conduct regular competitor analyses to support, modify, and affirm the social strategy. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Utilize and develop strategies for optimized organic media consumption and engagement in either news or the events and association affinity settings
  • Assist MCI Group’s content and PR marcoms community to drive engagement, audience growth, and conversions by optimizing their content for social distribution, consumption, and spread
  • Foster influencer relationships that preserve and authenticate MCI’s brand integrity in the micro-community
  • Quickly and thoughtfully package content in an engaging manner

Job requirements:

  • Have proven experience understanding algorithmic changes and how to mitigate their effects on brand’s pages and URL rank across channels
  • Have familiarity with the events and association industry and its glossary
  • Have experience and be confident with digital tools such as Hootsuite, or similar tools, as well as CMS experience.
  • Have strong written communication skills, an ability to be apolitical in the face of political conversation, and a deep belief in the power of social to connect a community.
  • As reflective of the digital news cycle, this position requires early, night, weekend, and holiday hours.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, global and diverse environment 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Excellent PPT, MS, Excel skills, with Ability to import and handle data from different systems
