Office: MCI Lyon
How did you end up at MCI?
Title: Development Director
I’ve been working in the meetings industry for 13 years, starting out as a trainee at a major Parisian conference hotel and then working for a renowned event agency, Connect Factory.
In 2004 I joined the Paris Convention Bureau to build the congress department and strengthen relationships with members – Paris’ major MICE industry players. It was there I met Philippe Fournier, Managing Director of MCI France and one of the bureau’s most dynamic members!
During my six years at the Paris Convention Bureau I was regularly in contact with MCI, and this continued when I joined Nantes Convention Centre to manage the marketing and development department.
I am passionate about our industry and feel that I still have so many things to learn, so in February 2014 I joined MCI France as Development Director.
This new role is perfect as it gives me a fresh perspective on the industry while enabling me to put my past experience to good use.
Which word best describes MCI for you and why?
MCI is an open-minded company with a multicultural and international spirit.
It’s also a company that dares to dream – setting ambitious yet achievable targets and giving talents the time and space to accomplish our professional and personal dreams. That’s the most exciting professional environment that I can imagine!
Coolest thing that ever happened to you simply because you work at MCI?
For over two years, I commuted between Nantes, where I worked, and Lyon, where I live.
Since joining MCI France, I’ve been able to reconcile work and family life! MCI’s flexibility means that I can work as a Development Director for France from Lyon rather than Paris, which is great for me and my 1-year old baby girl!
What makes you proud about working at MCI?
The group’s vision and great human values.
Most exciting/defining moment since you join MCI?
I really appreciate all the initiatives set up to strengthen team spirit, the sense of responsibility and the sense of belonging such as Spring Day and Dream Day.
