Now, here's the backstory on Adam…
Hometown: Knoxville, Tennessee (Go Vols!)
First car: 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage. It wasn’t the most exciting car I’ve ever driven, which was probably a good idea for a teenager.
Superhero power I wish I had: Definitely teleporting – why hasn’t someone figured this out yet?
Television show or movie most resembles my current life: I’ll preface this by saying that, unlike the characters on this show, I love my job and co-workers. Several friends and family members have told my wife and me that we remind them of Jim and Pam from The Office, so I’d probably have to go with that.
App I can’t live without: Yelp – I’m obsessed with reading reviews.
Favorite guilty pleasure: Binge-watching a TV series on Netflix. Most recent has been Friday Night Lights, Sons of Anarchy, and now The Sopranos.
Three publications I’d recommend for anyone who does what I do: Strategic Finance (great insight into the changing needs of finance professionals within organizations, with a strong outlook on emerging technologies), The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal..
What I do on my “free” time: You can usually find me spending time with my wife and our Brittany Spaniel, Neyland, but I also like to run, play golf, read, or play the guitar (none of these things as much as I probably should).
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go…: Florence, Italy. We spent two days there, and would love to go back and spend a week in Tuscany.
Advice I would give my “younger self”: In the words of Conan O’ Brien, “If you work really hard, and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.”
How my life has changed since I joined MCI USA: I’ve had the pleasure of working with some wonderful colleagues and have been introduced to a whole new world of acronyms (if you don’t believe me just take a look at our full-service management client page).
At the end of the day…: I just want to try and do better tomorrow.
