MCI USA Welcomes New Client Electronic Retailing Association
McLean, VA, USA, November 22, 2016. MCI USA is proud to announce the Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) as its newest full-service client. Representing more than 450 companies in 45 countries, ERA serves as the exclusive trade association representing the global $350-billion direct-to-consumer marketplace. In its provision of full-service association management to ERA as of November 1, MCI USA will provide guidance through strategic planning and analysis, resource development and sales, and communications and public relations, while serving as the association’s comprehensive headquarters management and operations team.
“MCI USA’s demonstrated success in fueling association brands, visibility, and overall resources will help strengthen ERA and enhance its member benefits and services,” said Erin M. Fuller, FASAE, CAE, MCI USA president of association management. “We are so honored to serve as ERA’s partner as they move into an association management model, and believe our unified staff team – of both legacy ERA and existing MCI USA team members – will enable ERA to achieve the goals set out by the board and deliver results that will drive both relevance and sustainability through enhanced member engagement and thought leadership.”
“As our industry and marketplace continue to evolve at a lightning speed, ERA is pleased to partner with a company that has real depth in marketing, global operations and execution, and overall communications and engagement strategies,” added Poonam Khubani, ERA board chair and vice president, international markets for the Telebrands Corporation.
ERA’s membership is comprised of companies that use the power of direct response marketing to sell goods and services on television, online and on radio. Members practice a sophisticated and accountable marketing methodology, leveraging video and audio to compel a direct and measurable response. ERA works hard to protect the regulatory and legislative climate of direct response marketing while ensuring a favorable landscape that enhances direct response marketers’ ability to bring quality products and services to the consumer. In addition, ERA promotes thought leadership and the sharing of knowledge to advance the direct response marketing industry, as well as to facilitate relationships that help members to drive their businesses’ growth and profitability.
“I am elated about this strategic partnership in that it gives the ERA the platform, the bench strength, and association experience to carry out our strategic plan to become the focal point for Omni Channel marketing and industry government affairs,” said Chris Reinmuth, president, ERA. “We look forward to working with MCI USA to better meet our members’ needs and more importantly, drive new members to our shows where our current members showcase their specific services.”
ERA will present The Great Ideas Summit February 27 to March 1, 2017, at the Caribe Hilton, San Juan, Puerto Rico. This event brings together the direct response industry’s most influential leaders to hold high-powered meetings, close global deals, and develop new digital marketing strategies.
