Implementing a targeted digital marketing strategy to increase engagement and educate Ornithologists on the benefits of social media.

To help the International Ornithologists' Union raise public awareness of their congress, MCI Canada designed and implemented a targeted digital marketing strategy, in order to engage and educate the international birding community on the benefits of social media as a tool to increase advocacy.

With an end-goal focus to build on the congress legacy for future-proof editions, the implemented marketing strategy targeted local media outlets - digital, print and broadcast - to support the association with spreading a clear and enticing message about the congress and festival.
