The Annual PSI conference is the association’s flagship event and this year the client wanted to increase registration numbers and abstract submissions to maintain its position as the leading statistical conference. Furthermore, as part of its growing strategy the client wanted to increase the level of engagement between exhibitors and delegates.
The MCI UK team maximised the exhibitor numbers by leveraging the available exhibition space. Moreover, an incentive competition for delegates with an exhibitor passport was introduced to drive ROI. Participants of this activation had the chance to win free registration for PSI’s next annual conference. Exhibitors positively reported an increase in quality delegate interactions and footfall. Other new engagement initiatives included a fun, quick fire 60-second poster round where authors reviewed their posters to a rapt audience. A marketing newsletter was also introduced, along with an in-house produced optimised digital mobile application with valuable programme and floorplan insights, and a community integrated feature to facilitate networking adding more to the conference’s legacy.
