Anne started Wyndham Jade’s Incentive Travel Division, which is now MCI USA’s Strategic Events, Meetings & Incentives division, for Lucy Crow Billingsley of the Trammel Crow family in 1992. Now with 27 years of service to the combined company, Anne proudly leads this division for MCI, performing design, planning, execution and sales of incentive travel with an updated focus on growth and expansion refreshed by the opportunities brought forth by the MCI acquisition.
Before joining Wyndham Jade, Anne was Director of Sales at US Motivation. Prior to that Anne held a succession of positions as Group Operations Manager, Director of Planning & Purchasing, and Director of Sales at Sunbelt Motivation & Travel in Dallas, Texas. She started her career in Michigan as a Coordinator at Performing Arts Abroad, Account Manager at Thomas Cook and Group Operations Manager at Trimedia Marketing supporting the automobile and manufacturing industries.
Anne studied to be an Anthropologist at Western Michigan University including completing hands-on research in Guatemala and was an exchange student to the Philippines during high school. Anne grew up in Northern Michigan. Her family were avid outdoors-people so she spent most summers, camping, hiking and kayaking in the Canadian Rockies.
Anne loves to write. Her favorite saying is “How hard can it be?” She lives with her husband, Kevin and their newly adopted (rapidly becoming spoiled) cat, Duke, in Plano, Texas.
Now, here’s the backstory on Anne:
Hometown: Cadillac, Michigan
First car: 1972 Ford Pinto Four Speed – give me a slight hill and I can start it with a dead battery all by myself.
Superhero power I wish I had: The ability to stop everything for a moment – (think of Elizabeth Montgomery in Bewitched).
Television show or movie most resembles my current life: All About Eve – Stranger Things – The Kominsky Method – Top Chef – Love it or List It
Favorite guilty pleasure: Everyone already knows.
Three publications I’d recommend for anyone who does what I do: Travel and Leisure, National Geographic and Smithsonian.
What I do on my “free” time: Read, write, and spoil Duke.
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go to… Yucatan or Maui
