See what’s new on the horizon
As news of vaccines entering final trials permeate the media, epidemic-weary Americans yearn for better times and getting away. Travel incentives are just the shot-in-the-arm that many corporations are turning to for an injection of spirit to motivate performance. Luxury hoteliers are preparing for a back-to-normal world with dreamy new properties. Here is a sneak peek at some of the resorts scheduled to open next year (2021) in the United States.
Encinitas, California
It’s been a while since a new beachfront resort has opened in Southern California. This is the second stateside venture for Hyatt’s luxury Alila brand. Alila Marea Beach Resort will be located in San Diego’s North County. The 130-rooms and suites will take full advantage of its prime location and will include a tranquil spa and locally sourced culinary experiences.
Singer Island, Florida
Embracing the five pillars of wellness, mindfulness, nutrition, fitness, relaxation and sleep; the new Amrit Ocean Resort will celebrate vitality on its oceanfront location in Palm Beach County. The 155-unit property will include a four-level, indoor-outdoor 100,000-square foot spa and wellness center.
Santa Fe, New Mexico
Set on 317 acres of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and just ten minutes from Santa Fe's plaza, Auberge Collection’s Bishop Lodge was the original private estate (circa 1853) of the first archbishop of Santa Fe. New Mexico's first resort-retreat will reopen after several years of loving restoration and thoughtful reimagination to include 120 units, a healing art studio and riding stables.
Big Sky, Montana
Just an hour’s drive from Yellowstone National Park, Montage Big Sky will offer year-round mountain adventurers to include ski-in/ski-out access, an onsite 18-hole Tom Weiskopf-designed golf course, fly-fishing and an abundance of back-to-nature activities. The mountain ski lodge will include 150 guestrooms and suites.
Canyons Village, Park City, Utah
Another luxury option for ski enthusiasts from Montage International, Pendry Park City will include a ski-in/ski-out location only 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. The resort will feature 152 guestrooms and suites, fine dining and a rooftop bar and pool.
Paradise Valley, Arizona
The Valley of the Sun will add a Ritz-Carlton to its vacationland collection. The 20-acre resort will include 215 guest rooms, detached casitas and suites; a 16,000-square foot spa; a just under 400-foot pool; a 400-tree citrus orchard, and a full-service spa and fitness center.
Napa Valley, California
Just a little over an hour from San Francisco International Airport and ten minutes from downtown Napa, the newest addition to Auberge Resorts wine country collection, is Stanly Ranch. Located on the historic 712-acre ranch of the same name in the Carneros region of Napa Valley, the property will include 135 cottages overlooking rolling vineyards and the Mayacamas Mountains.
