MCI Group has an opportunity for a professional experienced individual who will be responsible for planning, managing and producing digital, hybrid and in person events from concept to delivery to post-production. This opportunity is a 12-month contract position in Montreal. The ideal candidate for this position, thrives in a fast-paced work environment, is experienced with managing client relationships, possesses a proactive solutions-oriented approach, is a team player and is fluently bilingual (French/ English).

  • You will be responsible for the planning of virtual, hybrid and face to face meetings.
  • You will be the primary operational client contact from the start through to the production of the Event and will effectively plan and execute all details from start of program to successful completion.
  • You will be responsible to host live digital Events primarily as webcast / multimedia producer.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve real-time service issues during live events within the established guidelines.
  • You will prepare program documents (timelines, function sheets, show flows, letters and itineraries as required.
  • You will create and manage the program budget, provide regular updates as needed during the planning process.
  • You will be responsible for the financials results of your event including reviewing supplier invoices, budget updates and final account reconciliation.
  • You will actively participate in creative brainstorming and development sessions.
  • You are familiar with webcast, streaming platforms, audio and/or web conference platforms to create and execute a virtual meeting experience.
  • And any other task that may be required.

Required Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience and minimum 3 years’ experience as an Event Lead.
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality/Event Management, Business and CMP designation preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken French & English is required, with strong business communication skills.
  • Ability to act as Project Lead on large and complex projects and to communicate effectively with C-level clients.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment, with the ability to perform and handle multiple assignments simultaneously with efficiency and accuracy, have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Well-developed time management skills: highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented.
  • Responsible and able to work both independently and with project teams for individual events.
  • Highly proficient levels in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and strong technical knowledge and experience in producing virtual events on various digital platforms.
  • Ability and available to travel internationally.
