The British Society for Haematology (BSH) engaged MCI UK’s professional congress organisation department to deliver the 57th Annual Scientific Meeting in a tight 7-month timeframe.

The 3-day event, hosted in the seaside city of Brighton, brought together haematology specialists from across the world with an excellent scientific and educational programme covering the latest research and best practice.

BSH sucessfully increased attendance of trainees and young professionals and developed ‘Meet The Expert’ sessions to target junior attendees.


This was an excellent opportunity to re-energise BSH’s annual event and utilise MCI’s Marketing & Communication solutions by tapping into digital and social platforms.


MCI’s team of creative experts helped BSH to achieve the largest attendance for a standalone Annual Meeting –an event imprinted on its delegates minds through an excellent mixture of work and play, enhanced by the vibrant, fun venue location. The BSH Bash increased a sense of ownership for their unique social event.

MCI worked to develop an impactful social presence on Twitter and ‘Q&A’ sessions with haematology experts.

72% of delegates engaged with the in-house developed conference app,designed to be the ‘must-have’ accessory spearheading the move towards a paperless congress.
