Gerrit Jessen elected in the 2017 international MPI board of directors
Jessen has been involved with MPI since 1999 in various volunteer leadership roles. His selection as Vice Chair of Finance has been based on his proven professional skills and overall leadership experience.
Geneva, 10th November 2016. Gerrit Jessen, Regional Managing Director of MCI Germany, Austria and Czech Republic, has been elected to Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) International Board of Directors as the new Vice Chair of Finance. MPI’s mission is to provide its members with the latest professional development and business opportunities within a vibrant network of global event experts.
Jessen’s annual term commences on January 1st, 2017 and builds on his previous leadership roles fulfilled on a national and European level within MPI and other international institutions. He has been a member of the International Board of Directors since 2012, sits on the Board of the German Convention Bureau and is Vice Chair of the visitBerlin Convention Partner Association.
Enterprise Holdings Inc.’s Corporate Travel and Meetings Director Amanda Armstrong is the 2016 MPI’s Vice Chair of Finance and will become the new MPI Chair-Elect once Jessen’s term starts. Gerrit Jessen’s comment on the recent developments: “I have been a member of MPI for over 17 years now and have held various volunteer leadership roles during that time.
