Dalma Mall is part of the strategic plan of the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision, which sets the framework of the United Arab Emirates’ long term economic and social growth. It ensures exemplary experience, lifestyle, activities and services, while staying committed to social and environmental responsibilities.
In this spirit, the Mall decided to organise an initiative involving young digital content creators aspiring to bring a change in the society through the power of social media. As we’re talking about the online world, the event needed to achieve high levels of engagement and visibility from the Mall visitors.
Dalma Mall’s Digital Wiz – An Interschool YouTuber Championship aimed to educate and promote healthy use of social media amongst Generation Z and encouraged them to capture their creative flair in a responsible manner. Students from local schools were called to create and submit digital videos content related to society, education and innovation.
The Dalma Mall partnered with MCI UAE to ensure a seamless execution of the project. This included ideating and managing the submission process through dedicated microsites, as well as managing the Mall’s YouTube presence as the competition was unfolding. On top of that, our team also took care of collecting and managing the database derived from the social media activity and ensured data protection.
