Robin Lokerman is Group President of MCI. Based in Singapore, Robin has driven MCI’s expansion outside of Europe since 2007. Under his leadership, the company has registered impressive growth in Asia-Pacific, the Americas and India, the Middle East & Africa and today serves a growing number of clients from over 30 offices outside of Europe.
Based in Singapore, Robin has driven MCI’s expansion outside of Europe since 2007. Under his leadership, the company has registered impressive growth in Asia-Pacific, India, the Americas and the Middle East & Africa and today serves a growing number of clients from 33 offices outside of Europe.
As a member of MCI’s Executive Committee, Robin is jointly responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of an international group with a gross margin of €116 million and offices in 57 cities and 30 countries around the world. He also leads the company’s Institutional Division, serving association and government clients, and is responsible for strategic service development for these markets.
Day-to-day, Robin consults for associations on strategic planning, board assessment and global growth strategies, speaks at international business events and works with several leading industry organisations at the forefront of knowledge exchange.
Robin has received numerous awards throughout his career, including 2005 Planner of the Year award from the MPI Belgian Chapter and the 2006 International Meetings Industry Person of the Year at AIME Melbourne. He served on the MPI Foundation Board of Trustees and was also the first non-US member of the Board of Directors of ASAE - the Centre for Association Leadership and 2010 – 2011 Chairman of the ASAE Foundation.
Directly after completing a Master’s Degree in Management Science, in 1991 Robin founded GIC Management, which became Europe’s leading full service association management company and merged with the MCI Group in August 2003.
