TYPE: Conference | DESTINATION: Amsterdam, The Netherlands | REGISTRATIONS: 16,000
The Global Village & Youth Programme at the 22nd AIDS Conference provided a high-profile platform for young people and advocates from all over the world to get together and address the latest innovations surrounding HIV and substance use, advances in drug policy and human rights.
The unified goal of the initiatives was to raise awareness and empower people living with HIV in their emancipation and struggle for achieving the best possible health and well-being.
With more than 8,000 squared meters of dedicated space, the Global Village attracted a substantial proportion of the total 16,000 registered delegates.
"For AIDS 2018, and for the first time, we decided to hire a PCO to manage the Global Village. We needed a team of solution-oriented people with specific skills (session, exhibition and stage management), and the MCI team exceeded our expectations. We were impressed by how quickly operational they were: from the first working day onwards, and despite the truly unique shape of the Global Village, we could rely on their open-mindedness as well as their in-depth knowledge, network, and experience in congress organization. Their cheerfulness and generosity are also to be praised. Thanks again for making thinks so much easier for us, and for making the Global Village at AIDS 2018 a definite success!"
